Here is a 5-minute chart of Axis Bank below. Half of the day, the stock moved randomly offering unfavorable Risk-Rewards ratio opportunities. I had lost my focus.
But a potential opportunity shown in the chart arose later. I even noticed the beautiful Hammer and waited for confirmation candle. But the Hammer was followed by a huge green candle which made it difficult for a conservative trader like me to enter.
In the hindsight it dawned upon me that blowing up the 5-minute chart to 2-minute would have given me the entry points to required for the trade. This opportunity even has a good support of technical confirmations as given on the chart. Also, 1:3 Risk-Rewards was upheld.
Lessons:
Cut all that distracts you.
Be quick to calculate the RR ratio.
Blow up the chart and look for entry points.
Take support of additional technical confirmations.
